Thinking of building a website? Building a website can seem like a long arduous task. But with the right website tools (and basic website fundamental knowledge) you can absolutely build a website for your company, for your portfolio, or for your personal blog.
Here are some reason why I enjoy and recommend building a website on wordpress:
- FREE website builder: WordPress offers a free version of their website building platform that allow you to build pages and posts for your site for free.
- User-friendly: After using other website builders like Shopify, Webflow, and Google sites, I can say that the WordPress platform is user-friendly because the widgets you will need to build and customizes your webpages are all in the left hand side of the WordPress dashboard.
- Responsiveness: For the most part, websites that are created on WordPress have a decent presentation on a variety of screen sizes includes deskopt, tablets, and cellphones.
- Template Library: Both the free and paid versions have templates for blog posts and for webpages that are called “themes.” You get more variety with the paid versions, but the free version is more than sufficient if this is your first go.
- Website Editor: Gutenberg and WP Bakery Builder are names of some website editors. Website editors come with the WordPress platform and this is what allows you to drag and drop content to customize the appearance and formatting of your pages and blog posts.
